Ok, it's sort of fixed.  You'll have to test it and see what you think.  One weird thing is it produces flame upon butchering that are still deadly hot.  It also releases blue flames when badly damaged that are deadly to attacking dwarfs.  It's bite attack also releases an explosion of blue flames.

Wish I would have found this sooner, didn't dare delve into the modding section for some odd reason.
Anywho, my two ideas for the underdark are orichalcum and steelstalk.

Orichalcum: Basically the composition opposite of adamantine and almost as rare. An extremely dense metal (thinking above platinum here) whose only downside to it's hardness is its extreme weight. Weapons and armor can be forged out of it, however, it can not hold an edge and would be almost useless for edged weapons and bolts.

Steelstalk: An uncommon underground tree that is extremely durable and heavy. Can be used to make weaponry/armor at around the same effectiveness as bronze. (Named steelstalk because I figured that had a better ring to it than bronzestalk) If possible, I would like to make it take much longer to cut down than a normal tree.

EDIT: Found a guide to modding of sorts, just need some time to learn the ropes and then I could probably crank these out.

This should get interesting because the dwarves will be able to make friends with the goats(In theory). Also you might want to check the color and symbol stuff with those plants I made. They might show up as empty space. Whell atleast in my un official version.

I made an aboleth. Only instead of mind powers it smells really bad. And instead of enslaving you, it makes you throw up and drags you underwater and steals your shit.

I just dropped my quetzie fliles into a fresh copy of df .5, and I didn't get any error messages.  Maybe I had a copy-paste fail.  I've re-copied everything into my above post, please try again.  Also please check to make sure you copied the detail_plan correctly, the errors you got suggest a problem with that file. 

Are you putting things into their own files or into the default ones?  If you're putting things into their own files, my full quetz body detail plan file reads

I made this magma crocodile sometime ago. He has a extremely high body temperature, have basalt scales, can swim in magma and shoot balls made of liquid basalt (if those lodge in a wound, the enemy starts melting, and it's glorious)

Just used my free time to add dark elves (drow). At last some copy/paste that didn't crap out on me.

Oh and... firebloom grapes. Its a plant that grows... in lava! (if that works, that is)

I think I see the problem:  All files must start with the same word (letter?) as the default file of that type.  So underdark_detail_plan will not work, it must be b_detail_plan_underdark or similar.
