Hmm, I see 3 of Sarvesh's tarrasques up near the top.  All are associated with Death, two are also associated with Chaos, but one is associated with Cheese.
Cheese? Seriously? ... Now I gotta add Tarrasque Milk and Cheese. @_@
I guess we can't limit them to one per world. =/

Hey guys, I've played two full years and saw no interaction with the underground race. I think its due to LAYER_LINKED, wich makes them behave like the animalmens. Yea, they're around, but they're not exactly building anything, nor will they send caravans.
We need someone to test it without layer_linked. If that doesn't help, then its hard-coded.

Sorry, false alarm.  I took another look at the tarrasques.  Every single one was "Death and Chaos", and for some reason I just happened to read Chaos as Cheese.

...though that would have been fucking awesome.

I think the following init/Announcements.txt change would improve the game:

[CITIZEN_DEATH:A_D:D_D:BOX:P:R]
[PET_DEATH:A_D:D_D:UCR_A:P:R]

Chained guard animal dies (or is butchered), pause and center.
Villager dies, pop-up box and pause.

Don't want citizen-died messages to get buried in the job canceled messages.

Wrong thread? I'll add them anyway. Thanks!

Edit: I checked. There's no Cheese Tag, Symbol or anything of the kind. Sorry folks!

Been busy intergrating underdark with a number of other mods, and I noticed something odd. One of the files is called 'inorgarnic_underdark'.

Did that even work?

Also for future releases you might want to take all underdark entries out of default raw files. It makes the intergrating thing a lot easier to do, and also makes it easier to see what the mod contains.

Edit: the first line in the material template file is also incorrect.

Fixed typo for future releases.

Stuff I changed into the default raws.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I guess Mithril could be moved into its own file.

Yeah, I had trouble using this at the same time as the Ironhand tileset for precisely that reason.  Looks like everything else made it in though.  Too bad I'll have to gen another world to incorporate that fix.

Allright then. Version 1.0.7 going up.

-Fixed typos on Inorganic_Underdark. Old version still works because both lines had the typo.
-Moved Mithril to its own raw. Fixed Mithril, added Raw Mithril, should propelly spawn now. Doubled spawn rate. (2%).

If anyone wanna create something new for 1.1.0, now is the time. I'm gonna start working on the myconids now that we have more shrooms in the pack.

Edit: Oops. Forgot the reaction raws.

Its up now. This time you need to generate a new world for these changes to apply.
I'm just gonna copy my current game so I can keep testing new stuff.

All in favor of a milkable tarrasque? (Y/N)
NOTRAPS, PET_EXOTIC, MILKABLE, Milk Value x150 - Cheese x300.
Normally un-catchable, but if you menage to stun it.. oooh boy.

Okay seriously now, I'm thinking about removing spheres from the Tarrasque.
Since I made it steal food and drinks, it will often attack civilization sites. Thats cool.
Sometimes it will kill and eat people in its path. Usually guards disturbing it. Thats cool too.
Since it is so fearsome, it gets new workshippers each trip. Thats where it gets complicated.

The victims of the Tarrasque workship it - for them it represent death and chaos.
I really meant it to represent death, and destruction. It has no malice. It is not evil.
But it turns its followers evil. Death and Chaos is demonkind's field. See the problem yet? It turns entire civilizations on each other.
By the time world gen is done, all elves and humans are either co-habiting with goblins, or in ruins.
And that... is not what I wanted.

Perhaps just give it the cheese sphere? All hail cheese. Gigantic dairy factory also sounds fun, makes me wish milk has liquid simulation like water.

That or you could give it some more neutral spheres like dusk or victory. Not sure how the game would react to megabeasts without spheres, but if it disables worshipping altogether it might be best. Though the creatures names will be rather boring.

I also found out something interesting while messing with the quetzaa... quetzy: making a solid tissue with 'feathers' as type makes that tissue not get hit at all during combat.
I was also confused at the 'force' tissue you made for the armorman. The tissue had a local creature mat, yes the force materialw as an inorganic. Then I found out its not using the force material at all, but instead just makes a non-exitent tissue. Without an error this time, neat.

"making a solid tissue with 'feathers' as type makes that tissue not get hit at all during combat."

Can a creature be made ONLY of feathers? with maybe a solid head?

Toady typically doesn't do things by half measures.  As evidenced by turning "make hauling work better" into "implement mine carts with physics".
There are many issues with this statement.

Haha I have to try that.

Fakedit: Works! Made a single bodypart creature made of only feather, and the thing is utterly impervious to every attack. It either passes through or glances away.
I had a tarrasque fight one, it didnt manage to harm it. I then swarmed the tarrasque with evil little featherballs for laughs. Spawned a dragon, which set every one of them on fire without actualy killing them.

The dragon soon burned the tarrasque to death and is now locked in eternal battle with a few dozen burning featherballs.

So yes, we can use the feather tissue type to make tissues and even whole bodyparts that cannot be hit no matter what.

Edit: This featherball is hillarious to mess with. I gave a dust breath attack with drowsyness syndrome.
Nother Edit: It just killed a dragon.

Said Tarrasque got Fire-Immune Super.

Give the feather material ignition/melting/boiling point. Nevermind XD
It needs a core.
Editing Mithril again. Combining 'Raw' and 'Thread'. nvm don't need to.
