PC

The games tend to have more depth to them, and I've always preferred a keyboard and mouse to a controller.

Just think about it the mouse has always been more accurate because you use you whole hand as opposed to just flicking a little stick with you thumb.

Not to mention all the free stuff that has already been mentioned.

I'd argue that the PC is king of the multi player shooter.

All of the "great" console shooters (goldeneye, halo) have been waaaay behind their PC counterparts in terms of technology, gameplay, level design, graphics, innovation, etc.  The difference has been the fun factor of being able to punch your friend when he snipes you, which is far more common with consoles.

Matter of preference.  I personally just don't like using the mouse for shooters.

Albeit, I admit that I used to love playing Unreal Tournament on the PC...  Ages ago though...

I voted PC, though console gaming has its place. I enjoy driving with a controller, for instance, so GTAIV was more exciting for me on my PS3 than my PC (though, shooting out of car windows is a lot more difficult). I don't think there's any difference in overall depth or quality, though PC games are more apt to strategy gaming (which is probably why the poll is so heavily skewed in that direction). I don't like playing platformers (such as Mario) on a PC, however, and Pokemon will only be suitable for me on a handheld (indeed, I've never actively used a handheld for anything else other than Pokemon, it's just not worth the time and energy).

Consoles are great for playing games in a social setting. Imagine how terrible Super Smash Bros. would be if we each had to have our own computer. Oh god, what a travesty.

You can plug a controller into your computer, just so you know *shrug*

You can also plug a keyboard into consoles I believe, though I don't know if games actually support them...

EDIT: I used a controller to play Psychonauts on the PC.

Plugging a controller into your computer is like plugging a strap-on on your wife: It could be fun, but it just seems like you're missing the point.

Like I said before, I'm a PC fan, however, if you have certain tastes you like to fulfill occasionally, such as driving games or other similarly naughty things, then perhaps plugging in a controller wouldn't be wrong.  I agree that controllers tend to be bad when they're not filling a couple of very specific roles (Driving games, flight sims, fighting games, 2d platformers and the occasional emulated game that requires button combos which would be awkward on a keyboard, being a few examples). But in those roles they do fill, they can easily be argued to be better, at least for some people, than the keyboard and mouse.

If I had to choose, I probably would say PC due to the customization, lots of free indie games (like Dwarf Fortress), games that would suck on consoles (strategy games, etc), and the precision of the mouse (for FPS). Although, I do regularly play my 360 and PS3. As for controllers on the PC, I use one of my PS3 controllers.

We're talking average PC, not top-of-the-line PC. And honestly, Wii is as good as "two consoles back" in terms of raw power. It's an improvement over the Gamecube, but nowhere near as drastic as the PS2->PS3 one.
