I see Firefly's cancellation with mixed feelings: on the one hand, an absurdly good show died after only one season; on the other, it never got the chance to go to shit... :/

Fun fact: She was also a mechaninc for another short-lived series' ship when she was a kid.

She was chief mechanic of the Christa from The Space Cases, which aired on Nickelodeon long long ago. It was okay. She had an "Imaginary friend" that actually just existed in another dimension/reality. Sadly, they switched places by the first season finale.

Simply put, she's gotta be an awesome mechanic if she's been working on them since childhood.

The scene where they crash the ship (During the season 1 finale?) was iconic for me. I was younger, then, though, so it's probably not that great anymore.

What can I say?
I watched Serenity first if I am not mistaken (how silly I am not sure which awesomenes did I watch first) then brother got Firefly on the DVDs. What happened after that was pretty much the same as to all others. Fantastic show, disbelief at the info of it being cancelled and recognizing Jewel Staite as my future wife very atteactive person and actor. Actually everyones acting was superb, show has many memorable quotes, fantastic story and everything else that just makes it beg to be cancelled, like anyother unique and sadly overlooked show.

I mean, just look at the Carnivale.
Maybe not a perfect comparison, but they did the same to Carnivale, right? Right??

Firefly was awesome...

I thought Serenity was alright... A better ending to the story than the last episode, but not remotely the ending the story deserved... The cause of River's... whatever... seemed a little to simple in the end...

also, add another to the list who think Kayle == Hot
