Is there a way to tell the dwarves to place the single masterpiece bed amongst other in the stockpile specifically in THAT room (say, the captain's room)? I've been having +Fun+ for a few weeks, but haven't got around to figure how to do that yet.

Similarly, I guess that if you want to encrust only your finest ware, the trick would be to move the finest ware close to the right workshop. But this can work only if there is a way to sort good/furniture/stuff by quality.

When in the build menu, press "x" and it'll expand to list every individual unbuilt bed in your fortress, at which point you can select the one you want.
