Messy problem
« on: May 19, 2010, 08:32:20 pm »

Hello,

I've just had my first big goblin ambush (oh the nasty greeny things) and I crushed them (ahah!). But now, they are still finding a way to disturb my mine... You see, that pile of goblins' bodies, legs and brains (small though) just in front of my entrance creates a sticking miasma cloud... you know, goblin can smell awfully bad, especially when dead.

So, could you give me a tip to quickly claim all this dirt to stock the good and put the crap (goblins) on my refuses piles?

Thank you

Bones no longer stink, and they can be worked into a variety of variously sized objects and decorations through both the craftsdwarf workshop and the bowery.  Assuming you are playing one of the 40d variants, you can create a bone stockpile (it's an option inside of refuse on the p menu), but if you store them aboveground they will eventually disappear.

Hum... I do not have bone stockpiles, not in the main piles list at least.

You have to filter it out from the refuse options. Have a play with it. There is help on the wiki about how to set up custom stockpiles which should answer all of your questions.

if you are troubled by the amount of trash and/or its slowing your game , i suggested building a magma pipeline, or walling your fort, except for a part where merchants will spawn, and building tons of bridges there.

Helps to keep the fps high for me
