The Descent, really? I jumped a few times but that was it. It was all shock-scares and no real disturbing horror...also, I really need to check out House of Leaves

The Descent, havent seen the sequel.
Well, I have to agree, it is the scariest piece of fiction I have ever seen. Though not in the sense that it is good.
I have never, ever felt so insulted in my entire life while watching a movie. Wow....Glad I don't remember most of it.

For a "real" answer from my eyes? well, I don't easily get frightened or emotionally moved by games, but god damnit, F.E.A.R scared the jumping bejeezus out of me. It wasn't atmospherically good in any regard, and it didn't really settle itself as creepy, but I just didn't know if the next corner I went around would be my last.
But I know, that there was this game I don't remember the name of, or anything really, but the fact that you were continuously stripped of all your weapons and possessions, and as a result the enemies could mess you up bad. Man I wish I knew what game that was.

'Prooi' (Prey). I'm not sure whether it was a translation or a Dutch original.
Pretty cool, nonetheless. Somehow managed to be quite freaky.

Oh god no.

I dunno, maybe Event Horizon?

That movie creeped me right out. Man. I couldn't even figure out why until later when I thought about it in a calmer frame. The reason? The characters are doomed. From the start. It's not even the "you all die now" type of doomed. It's the "pinned down and flailing vainly" type doomed.

This is readily apparent, from the very beginning, and nothing in the entire movie changes that equation. After all, they're on a space ship. It's not like you can escape a "haunted space ship" like you can a "haunted house". What're you gonna do? Go outside and run through vacuum?

Toady typically doesn't do things by half measures.  As evidenced by turning "make hauling work better" into "implement mine carts with physics".
There are many issues with this statement.

Eh, I think what got me was just that the visuals were so disturbing.

Clock Tower: The First Fear
Scariest SNES game I ever known.  Please if it is dark and lonely where you are right now DO NOT do research about this game.

Oh that's where that GIF came from.

...not that I'd know anything about that.

The worst part is I know what .gif you are talking about.  Too bad I don't know where to find it anymore.
Nevermind I found what I was talking about.  This is it right?

I... may have been referring to the pedobear gif.
This'n?

Btw, the only thing that ever really scared me was a short "three minute horror story" about a creature living in some kid's apartment's shower drain.

It was in a compilation book called Frankenstein's Hamster or something.... And no, it's not the Vernon Bright thing. Some other book.
Might be this one: http://www.amazon.com/Frankensteins-Hamster-Barbara-Griffiths/dp/0803709528

I don't know why it bothered me as much as it did, but I didn't shower for like a month....
