I've increased the contrast between the background, ties and switch-tracks, and added the external part of ties to straight and round tracks; I did not touch the T & X junctions yet.

I like the full ties, but think it would look nicer if you extended the dark border around the extended ties, so that it didn't blend into the floor tiles as much.

I've completed the T & X junctions with 1 pixel wide external ties.

I kind of like it better with the extended black border only reaching out on the pixels where there are extended railroad ties.  It makes the rails seem a little more jagged. 

It's a minor issue, though, they do look great as-is.

I like the stop.  Do the other directions use the other chair facings? ;)

For the track tiles, I notice the background is lighter than the default floor.  Is that a temporary thing, or just something you haven't fixed yet?  If its the latter, I suggest blending the outer most two pixels (based on the 4x  zoom) as the lighter floor next to the track itself helps clarity.

I think inverted tiles can only use dark colors; in the NE corner the brown tracks/yellow floors are of the same material.
I think color 8 (dark grey) seems to be converted to color 7 (light grey) instead of color 0 (black). You wouldn't want black tiles.
