Dwarf fortress requires a minimum of 80 tiles across. That image is 85 tiles across, with each tile 12 pixels wide. If each tile were 13 pixels, there would only be room for 78, which not enough.

Has anyone had problems with ambushes/invasions in this version? I've had my fort running for over 2 years without a single goblin or kobold thief, babysnatcher or ambush.

I haven't even run into any animalmen in the underground even though I've broken into 3 separate caverns.

Hey, does anyone know if it's possible to get this to work on a mac? I've just gotten into DF, and I thought it'd be a little easier to tell what I'm doing with better graphics.

Download the version of the graphics set without the game. Extract its files over the Mac version of Dwarf Fortress. Rename init.phoebus.txt and d_init.phoebus.txt in data/init to init.txt and d_init.txt.

I'm getting the error "data/init/interface.txt not found, or I/O error encountered" now. :/

What did you do, erase the original data folder?  ??? You need the files from both DF and the Graphics Set.

So I just replace the two txt files, and it's good to go?

What I did when installing things that way was install DF, then install the Phoebus set "on top" of DF so the Phoebus files overwrite the vanilla versions.  You still need to change the init.txt and d_init.txt files, however.

Alright, sorry to be such a bother, but it was all working fine until I realized that some of the graphics were a little funny. I followed the FAQ and replaced a few of those files, and now I get a gigantic error report spat at me. Here's a small part of it:

My guess is that you broke the raws folder the same way you broke the data folder (by removing the original files), and then copied the broken raw folder into your save game while attempting to update it for the graphic set.

Phoebus, I hope you know that when you press Z in Fortress Mode, and you look to your right, you'll see a lot of the nobles do not have their own sprite!
They share one and the same sprite. Is that something you are working on, or just don't care to be implementing?

Nobles do have their own sprites.
AFAIK, the status screen problem is a bug with DF's graphic engine.
Every graphic mod had the same problem last I checked.
