You might want to view this set of posts.

Hitting "p" to export a map apparently causes crashes during worldgen in the new version due to an unknown (and apparently new) bug.  That's probably not Phoebus-related.

Just now getting back around to this (work travel   :-[ ). Can anyone point me to a walkthrough explaining how to add graphics from one set to another. Namely i'm just trying to get the latest unit graphics from Mayday into Phoebus. Is it just a copy paste or do i need to worry about tags and such? I would also be interested if anyone has a guide on creating graphics for the various sets.

I too have this problem in legends mode and after world gen is complete. The bug tracker report states that it is for ubuntu (running windows 7 here) and its for hitting P twice (I just hit it once, in any menu screen) in legends mode. I'm assuming toady knows that it is more in depth then that and I am too lazy to do any more testing. It works good enough, and I dont care if legends crashes as there is nothing to save. I can still work around it to get my world map. Anyway, thanks for the awesome and quick updates!

Hey, been waiting for this newest release of DF, using the pre-installed package of Phoebus, however on world gen it crashes. Not the hitting "p" bug, but whenever I hit enter for to confirm to use the world as is, it just hangs and crashes. Any ideas? genned 3 worlds in a row, all crashed.

You could try changing the truetype font in /data/art/
I've replaced the default DF font "Dejavu Sans" with the "Consolas" font, which is larger and fixed width, it works better with DF's formatting.
Rename "font.ttf" to "font_consolas.ttf" and then rename the "font_dejavu_sans.ttf" to "font.ttf". (DF is hardcoded to use /data/art/font.tff)

If that does not fix the problem, and the source of the problem isn't the newest update, you'll need to send me your savegame; I can't fix what I can't reproduce.

Which operating system are you using?
Did you try disabling TT font?
Which config settings are you using?

I'm using the pre-installed package (just clean extracted and run from there) on Win7 with TrueType off (I believe...) First 2 world gens were from clean extraction, next gen was after I used the batch files to update everything, just in case, no change, still crashed.

That seems to be fine.
The font looks a bit weird, but otherwise seems ok. No broken text at least

scratch that, no
it did not work.
There is much less broken text, but still some
going in to set a uniform I found some broken text when choosing the uniform for a new squad, I had my custom iron warhammer squad missing the first m, just a blank spot and several people's names when assigning them to squads have black spots in them.
