On a less pop-culture referencing, more applying for the competition note: I'll start another team, if that's alright with anyone. Everyone, I would think, would be pushing it too far - You know, some random person in a far-away nation might just go "Vetoed!" and then I wouldn't be able to. Besides, collecting the opinions of six billion people might be a tad difficult.

I remember you showing interest a while back, was wondering if you'd show up :P I'll go add you to the OP; let me know whenever you have a team name.

The cake is a lie

It is delicious and moist.

Alright, I need a new second player. That guy I'd never heard of doesn't answer private messages.

"Team Beleaguered" needs a second player.

You guys have run into this problem, it seems: http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=57599.msg1213269;boardseen#new. Make sure your PMs are set to receive from all. A lot of people including myself have had trouble with this before.

Yo, Duke is starting to have a hankering for some succession game. And tower mayhem? Doubly goodness. If anybody has a spot open I'm more than willing to help out.

If you'd like, you can join my group. There are six people so far, so when you'd get your turn you'd play the seventh year of the fortress. And you'd probably only get one turn.

If you want more direct involvement in the fortress, my team isn't for you.

Jim's got spots open in a big group as he said; if you're looking for a smaller one James.Denholm is looking for a second partner. Or you can throw your own group together :P

This sounds interesting. I'll join up with James.Delholm if he's still looking.

Hey Retro, what's the science on participating on more than one team?  If this competition is going for a while (sounds like it is) I might have the time and inclination to work on another tower project.

Team Skycrashes is now full up. I didn't think this would happen, but I'm excited that it did.

I'm in the middle of the second year, and I'll finish it up soon. Making steady progress on the tower, or at least, setting the foundation for the rest of the team to build the thing.

Thanks, needed that help. He sent me a message. We'll see if the PMs are working now, and if not then we'll find another way to communicate. Probably a project thread.

Despite your recent troubles, I'm quite glad you've got a full roster! The continually increasing participation of this competition is surprising me as well. Perhaps something similar (though obviously with a different theme) can be organized sometime after this one closes.

Good to see. I've been using email with Silfurdreki, and though I'm not normally a Gmail guy I'm finding being able to see our correspondence all displayed at once in tabs is pretty helpful. I'm going to mark Team Beleagured as your team name for now though I don't know how serious you were about that just to get rid of the Unnamed teams; let me know if/when you have something to replace that with.

I guess there's no reason you can't. If this 'competition' was more competition-oriented than project-oriented it'd probably be a problem, but I don't see the harm. Right now it seems Duke's the only person looking for (a) teammate(s), so you can check with him or open your own team.

This sounds interesting. I'll join up with James.Delholm if he's still looking.

I'll add you to the OP; get in touch and get a-building! You guys still need a team name as well, let me know.

It was proffered specifically because you seemed to want names for the teams. We'll stick with it until my partner offers an opinion on names.

Eeeep, Duke just sent me a PM on the matter of joining that team - Um. CB, Duke, would you both be happy in having it run as a 3-person-team?

As for team-name, I'll go down the same route as The Architect. Plonk "Team French-Bake" on for now, but that's subject to change post discussion.
