I would like to start a team, accepting 1 other player.

I plan on genning a world with no caverns, exposing the magma sea to the open air, and making a cast osidian tower.

the first person willing to join this insanity is welcome.

Got the save from Graebeard. First thing it seems I'm going to have to do is to make a dining hall; makes no sense to have a 100 z-level tower but have nothing in the way of a proper place to eat.
Edit: Near the end of spring, but still haven't got a dining hall set up. Still, the stills are kinda producing alcohol (that reminds me - I should have the magma forge churning out barrels - I'll mine out the tetrahedrite that's lying around the main mining floor to get more copper, because I don't want to have gold barrels - because there's not much in the way of trees, even with two safe-to-use caverns with available lumber) but more importantly I've already built up 4 or 5 Z-levels.

Don't forget that by the last year everything must be contained in the tower :D

Japa, let me know when you have a team name.

Is this allowed? The rest will have to pump the magma sea up past caverns to cast obsidian.

We embarked with no caverns, and it has some interesting sideeffects.
1, No underground plantlife whatsoever.
2, Due no underground plantlife you start with no DRINKS.
Needless to say it makes it hard!
Probably harder than pumping magma thru caverns and around them...

If my team doesn't get eight players by Sunday, which I doubt will happen, I'll just start a map anyway. I can't keep us waiting for a pipe dream.

It's brainstormin' time, fellas!

Yup. As noted in the OP, worldgen settings are entirely up to you, save that you can't exceed standard embark points and that you need to remember to leave yourself enough air to build up.
