Gems(Like searching for a needle in a 10-metric fuckton of haystacks. Oh, and you have to have them to make monopols, the stuff that you need to make spacecraft that can travel to other planets! What fun!)
And a whole bunch of others.
This is why, as you can see, much trading is involved in the gameplay, and is practically essential. Like IRL. Also, wut happen to de ZORGN!?

Also, I decided to try to play a bit of Escape from Earth, but strangely, when I try to start a new game, most of the planets are just 100% water. Why is this? I must have missed something. And  yes, I tried it on both random and historical setting.

Pwnzerfaust-In EFE, not all of the planets have a actual surface, it's like some of them are non-habitable, and ones that have an actual surface are 'habitable'. So yes, the planet to the right of you has a low chance of actually being habitable. It is randomized, but Zorgn isn't reporting in, it looks. I'll give him one more day (Tomorrow, 10 P.M. Central American Time. CST)

There is 30% chance of a planet being inhabitable.

Oh and x2yzh9, if you fully colonize De Moley with all 4 of your ships, I won't land my two ships there.
