Hmm, would it be possible to replace the ingame music with this? Or would that just completely ruin the quality?

It could work if you converted it to .ogg and named it song_game.

Hey guys, I was just briefly going over a few of my old threads.  I was just thinking that someone should set up a new one for different player-written songs with this song as the first.  Also we should ask Toady to set up support for different songs like this to be moddible into the game; I'm certain he'd do that in some spare time if we asked him.

Dwarven economics are still in the experimental stages. The humans have told them that they need to throw a lot of money around to get things going, but every time the dwarves try all they just end up with a bunch of coins lying all over the place.

Cool song bro.

Seconded, its really good - and ineed could be a good replacement for the default in-game music. its got the spirit alright. no need to mod anything guys, just turn the ingame music off and play it on a media player.

Great tune. If I had slightly more feel for the pacing of the lyrics, I might be able to dredge up a bad accent myself, at least as a backup singer or something, if that ever gets organized.

If lyrics were added, I'd suggest everyone singing at the same time, but as the song continues they get spread out, maybe with one dwarf singing the wrong verse, another just foul-mouthing elves? A 3rd going way to fast or out of tune etc.

And lots of glugging noises, mugs being slammed down, and rowdy cheers! :D

I think it's the way towns develop now. In the beginning, people move into a town. Then they start producing tables, which results in more and more tables. Soon tables represent a significant portion of the population, they start lobbying for new laws and regulations, putting people to greater and greater disadvantage...

This is simply amazing.

I can't tell if you're still looking for dwarfy-singers(last few posts in that thread mention locking it... and something about raising money for a professional? :-\) but I'd definitely be willing to take a shot singing this.  I have a pretty deep voice and I could give the gruff drunk accent a try.  :)
