Splitting up my metal stockpiles
« on: May 13, 2010, 06:55:04 pm »

So I originally had only 1 metal bar stockpile, all of them mixed into different bins.  Now I'm trying to split it up so I can keep a visual tab on how much of each type of bar I have.

I can make separate stockpiles and they will move all the bins that happen to only have that type of metal into the correct stockpile.  Any of the mixed bins are not moved.  So I'll have like copper and steel in bin and it just sits there.  How can I get the dwarves to either split up the bins or to take the items out of the bins so I can then get them to be resorted?

Thanks!

Dump everything in the bins. Or use it all up.

The easiest way to fix it was to dump and reclaim the individual bars. Then, just keep them in separate piles from then on. This is a bug, but will probably not be fixed for awhile, given the severity of many other existing bugs.
