"So, how many knives do we have between us? We should probably carry one each, just in case."
My bike light could come in handy, and if we run out of batteries I have spares - plus my calculator runs on the same voltage batteries and can charge them by solar power, so we can take apart the calculator and use it to recharge the batteries for the bike light.

If there's no higher ground, can we see infinitely far (is the world flat)?

I agree with appointing 'Gunguy' Lee our action-leader for the time being. As we get to know each other we'll figure out who's the best diplomat, too.

In the meantime, I suggest we stick together (or at least don't go off alone).

One knife per person if possible, one phone per pair. Let's buddy up.

Trade phone numbers with anyone who has a phone, set phone's settings to minimum brightness, etc, to mean minimum charging later (amongst my assorted wires is, no joke, a hand-crank phone charger with different connectors I got from a computer science jobs fair).

Also start up my computer and see which processes are running (i.e. is it possible to affect the world via my computer?)

i tell everyone i'm going west to investigate
some small, dark bumps. They appear to be quite sharp...
, i also propose that someone skilled at it could climb a tree to look around.

i head west and investigate the small, dark bumps

I follow him.
I follow them.

Right, which I figured would allow us to contact each other throughout the world, but not to talk to people who didn't get transported. So we'll test it out :D

ACTIONS:

I look around for bushes with edible plants.
You find five large tubers. They feel muddy, even after you dry them off.

i head west and investigate the small, dark bumps
I follow him.
I follow them.
You head off into the distance. The rest of the group follows you.

You hand out knives to everyone.
+1 knife universal bonus!
You trade numbers with everyone. Your phone is already set to extra dim.

Your computer loads up, the world fizzles with static and...

Bluescreen. Goddamn vista.

Y'know, hows about we build a town or a fort?  Make the others come to us...

We lack picks and axes.
We travel to the nearest town, and buy steal them. Then we find a forestmountain and Strike the Earth!

If we steal them, the entire town will attack us. I don't think we are strong enough to deal with them.

Naw, they'll just never talk to us again, along with everyone else in their civ.
Still, we should try not to cause trouble yet.
