And yeah, Battlefield Earth was almost hilariously bad.  For an even better trip, try reading the novel.  I still remember back in 2007, during the big presidential primary race: all the candidates were interviewed by a magazine, and were asked what their favorite book was.  Most took the utterly safe and necessary answer - "The Bible".  Only Mitt Romney had the security to answer for real, and he said Battlefield Earth.  Kudos, but what the fuck?

Yeah, the video featured a song they almost certainly didn't have the copyright to broadcast, and I seriously doubt any company actually wants it's material associated with the response to the issue.  I made the link into a generic search.

Really though, it does strike me as a bit odd when I read through here how everyone seems to have irony blinkers on. A great deal of people on here are simply attempting to enforce their own morals over the morals of others. Unless you can in some way show that kids doing this sort of thing is harmful to them in any way then saying this is wrong is all so much moral proselytizing. You say its wrong, parents say it's not, kids don't care and we're back where we started.

I think that was basically the effect of most of the arguments against this.
