Ok, is it just me, or any of the floors I build dosen't block the light?

If a tile is EVER exposed to light, it is ALWAYS exposed to light.

Indeed. For the dwarves, light is like contamination. It infects all that it touches, without hope of salvation.

oh, dang, so much use for a glass floor than... and for the challenge to design a fortress with lighted farmplots inside...:/

Light isn't that bad. Outside is the dwarven problem.

I wonder what would happen if you made a cast obsidian sheet suspended above a section of ground, then channeled out the ground. Would the area below be light or dark?

On the plus side, this feature helps fight cave adaptation!

Make your central staircase(s) exposed to light, and then floor them back up.

The only good thing about sunlight is being able to create greenhouses so your dwarves can drink even more varieties of booze.   :D

Since playing this game takes a bucket-load of imagination to play, you could always stretch it a little further and pretend your glass roof has a practical purpose.

It would be great to get it actually implemented though.
