I'll get in on this.

I have never used tilesets (I can't figure out how to implement them... *facepalm*) so if you can add whichever one YOU like to use, that'd be fine for me.

Its uberly easy,  Copy and paste really, He sets it all up with his mod (Go ahead and download it, links in his sig.) So thats all you really have to do, I believe he even turned [graphics:on]

Yep, the only difference is that you use a different tileset version than the previous player, you have to copy /raw/objects/ from your tileset to the /save/region/raw/objects/ of the save to change tiles to correct ones.

Where's Heyguys? I am going to PM him...

It looks like Heyguys is away for some days. I guess it's ok if we skip him to move the story and add him back whenever he comes back.

Do you mind if I turn it to my Emergent release for 0.31.04? It doesn't feature real graphics (only pseudographics done by tiles from the character set) but it has nicer plants and it's MUCH faster than 0.31.03.

It looks quite OK too, although not too good without actual profession/creature graphics :P.



Also a big plus of non-graphics is that I am able to use different tiles for different dwarven castes.

So I guess it's my turn next? I don't mind if we use 0.31.04.. Should I just download 0.31.04 and you'll send me the rest? Let me know what I need to do. If it's faster I definitely don't mind using the latest version. This will be good for me because I'm off work tomorrow. Let me know ASAP and I'll get started..

Okay... I could do it but I really need to run now...

(1) Get this: http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=2366 , unpack it somewhere.

(2) Get the save from above.

(3) Put the save in your /data/save/ folder

(4) Then follow the instructions:
* Open /raw/objects/ of the mod you've downloaded in (1)
* copy all text files to /data/save/region1/raw/objects/ , overwriting.

Done. you can play the save.

If something doesn't work, I am back home so I can help you. PM me or write here. But I am pretty sure I've described all steps needed so I hope it works.

Also tell me what do you think about the soundtrack. If you like it, I will add more songs to it. Namely some of Mike Oldfield songs.

23rd of Obsidian Late Winter

I've been chosen to lead this fortress into the next year and I only hope I can successfully rise to meet such a great challenge.  I was elected based on my platform of population and prosperity. This next year I hope to create new jobs in sectors untouched and with our newly built aquifer breach we will begin a full scale mining operation into the depths of the earth. As we mine out our now plentiful resource we will fill the empty space left behind with room and board for every dwarf, new workshops for metalworking and jewel. Rock crafting will be essential to our economy and I will be creating lots of jobs here. Our fallen dwarves need to be honored more appropriately and so I will begin construction on a catacombs of sorts to entomb them. Ores will come from the depths and hopefully many weapons will be forged. Military is not my strong point, but the protection of our people is my greatest concern.
