I'm guessing that an aura of giving and kindness DOES actually mean that civilians won't run away from it, and instead happily march along as it butchers them?

Q: What do you get when you take 100 clear glass windows, 1000 silver bars, 6700 gold bars, and 18,000 marble blocks?

A: A very large wall.

Not sure yet, he just turned up.  Trying to figure out a way to capture it, since you know, it's making me feel so generous.  I could create an alternate save and see what it does if I just let it roam.

Best titan. Ever.

Find a way to tame it so that it may live among your dwarves as a harbinger of peace.

Alright, so he approached my fort.  Now he is just standing by the depot.  Right next to the depot itself and a door, hasn't detroyed anything yet.

It's more of a human titan, what with the ocean connection and all.

if you knock it out and make it fall into a cage trap you can catch it
try something like this (side view):
XXXXX
--S---
-XXX-
--T---
XVXVX

X= floors
S=support
T=the titan
V=cage traps
-=open space

pull down the support so that it drops the top layer and the resulting dust from the cave in may knock him out and into the cage traps.  Don't let the cave in directly hit the traps, though.

Is it hostile?

Send out a noble to greet the titan! See what happens.  :D

Well, it was peaceful enough until I sent a couple of dwarves to go get some refuse from outside, causing them to path by it.  Apparently the aura isn't powerful enough to overcome the sheer terror of seeing a 100 foot man with an elephant trunk made of coral, which I can understand.  And seeing the dwarves must have triggered his Kool-Man instincts as he quickly began smashing all doors and windows.  So now I need to go back to the original game and make a construction to capture this beast to put on display for the mere amusement of the dwarves.

Raviaric was right, it's an elf-lover.

Elves, giving and kindness?
Elves, who eat there dead?
Elves, who wage war over fucking plants?

Just because they're pansies when you seize their stuff doesn't mean they are kind and giving.
