River of Blood
« on: May 12, 2010, 04:10:04 pm »

This is a picture that helps show the awesome and terrible power of the carp and the Longnose Gar.

That little happy face on the right?

A dead fisherman.

That red stuff?

HIS BLOOD.

I'm pretty sure the Elves like it deep in the dark passage, if you get what I mean.

Meh. It's better when they die on land, because then your dwarves will track the blood all over your fort.

I had this happening to me 6-10 times a year in my old riverside hell fortress.
It got so bad migrants refused to come to that terrifying place.

Use the river for irrigation, then your farmers will spread blood all over.

There is an engraving of three dwarves in a dining room. The third dwarf is a soaper.

Back in 40d I had a river that seasonally filled with blood. Never knew what caused it, too lazy to find out.

Was there a waterfall in it anywhere? If there was, I'm guessing the reason was carp or some other large fish plummeting over the falls and exploding on impact.

This amuses me for some reason.

For some reason? It's carp, the true enemy of all dwarves, falling to their deaths. That's hi-damn-larious.
