I'd say that definition refers to "gender role" (social norms and stuff) and not "sexual orientation" (which sex you are attracted by).
But English is not my native language, so everything might be wrong

Normally (at least in America), people just call it "sexual orientation".

"Gender" is usually used to indicate what sex you are. (Male/female.)

"Gender" is technically neither. "Sex" refers to the biological difference, what equipmnt you have. "Sexual Orentation" refers to what you're attracted to. "Gender" is purely cultural. Boys wearing pants and girls wearing dresses is a simple example of a gender difference. Nothing physically requires this differentiation, it is  a societal construct.

Ahh Gender, did that in Psychology A2....fun fun fun -,,,- Well, okay it's interesting but if you wanted to go Psych V's gender is pretty much truly Androgynous, neither masculine nor feminine. In Psychology gender was mostly about what social roles you fulfilled and what you see yourself as. A transsexual born male could be said have a sex of male, and a gender of female. That's what "Sexual Identity" probably means there...

Of course the Sexually Orientation of V is also an interesting question...They could easily be any of the above. V's kids are adopted just to further fuck with us -,,,-
