In my last game I was the Germans and took over half the continent by occupying Barbarian cities that sprang up all over the place. Made me feel really cool until Shaka of the Zulus Vassal'd Arabia and Portugal before betraying me 15 turns from a culture victory despite us being best religion buddies, all while the friendly dudes on the other Continent sat around and stole my wonders.

I have to question your judgement when it comes to putting Hastings in the middle of that icy tundra which will produce nothing.
I didn't want to put it there either but the computer said it was a good idea and I didn't feel like arguing.
Aaaand here's your first tip: Never ever trust the computer. If you know the game mechanics well enough you won't ever need to heed its judgement, as while it can give the occasional help, it can also come up with horrendously bad ideas (such as a city in the middle of a freaking glacier).

It was probably trying to get you to harvest the deer.

Ignore the blue circles, they are always lies.

It's already 700 AD?

There's no hope of salvaging anything even close to a victory at this point. You are utterly doomed.

Yeah. And war with the Germans is definitely not a good idea if you're having trouble dealing with barbarians (who only seem to have warriors!). You've pretty much lost already.

Still, play to the bitter end! Make your defeat the most magnificent defeat ever made!

Find ivory, and just storm them apart with war elephants. That's what always seems to work in that era.

Maybe if he had hammers.

Or the era wasn't 700 AD.

What's more fun? Winning or losing?

Here's a hint: Losing is _ _ _!

Hmm...I've never been a big fan of CCGs - I mean, I did and still do collect Pokemon cards, but I never got heavily into the battling and trading thing.

By definition that makes you a fan since you still buy them.
