i realize that there's another thread, but since it's probably a year old, i don't want to necro.

so, spore discussion thread.

let me start by saying that space stage is BORING. no customization at all. plus the sheer quest difficulty. you make one ship and then boom, you''re done, go wander trying to find one obscure star in a whole galaxy.

Spore raped my computer. It made it BLAND.

I waited for Spore for years, I even ran a fan forum for it. When Spore was released I saw how much of a failure it was and fled for the hills.

It's sort of okay, I guess, but what makes me annoyed isn't how the game is, but how the game could have been.

Oh, and yes, space stage is truly bland. You suddenly go from controlling a civilization that encompasses almost the whole world to being in control of a small ship that will (sans upgrades) fall together if you so much as sneeze at it.

We were promised a medium-defining procedurally-generated game the likes of which had never been seen. They delivered a loosely connected string of flash games. BAD flash games.
