This mod has just so much crap in it that it everything competes against each other in order to get into the world.

My wife, on the other hand, is sitting right next to me on her own computer playing DF, and her worldgens and embarks yield copious amounts of flux and iron. Armok likes her best.
Ok I stuffed up some how... I have Forgotten beasts and Mosswines as a Hostile Civ...

Bah! When I installed the mod my game crashed whenever I tried to create a new world... Maybe my computer can't take all the epicness?

Got more than one CPU core? Set DF to use only one. Also, don't switch windows while creating.

Why are the Loli's surviving so much?! Do they have some disgusting advantage I don't know about? Ugh

Megabeasts are having serious problems. Most worlds stop at 200 because 80+% are dead.

Great mod(s?), but i have just a couple of problems. One is that the cavern seems to be MUCH closer to the surface than before, causing the level that i usually have most of my stockpiles and workshops in to be open space. my other problem is that some mod is making it deadly to mine certain stones. basically, my miners are digging away when suddenly there is their own blood on the floor where they are mining. no fight reports, no announments, just my miners getting hurt. eventually my miners end up with rotting body parts, and sometimes they die. any solutions or tips?

EDIT: ok, i have figured out whats killing my miners. after having a miner die, and then the peasant replacement of that miner die, i paused the game just as a block of the deadly stuff was mined and looked at the square. it said boiling magma was there. my guess is that the stone has a very low boiling point, so that every time it is mined i get magma instead of a useable rock. since i have absolutly no idea how to change the raws or what to change them to, i am going to hope that somebody else will reply with a fix.

You are probably mining meta stone from corrosion. It's Fun like that. Check what kind of rock it is, if it's not the afore-mentioned one, please share the name with us.

Alkhemia: Hurm. For the dupes, I think you borked something while moving the files into place. Best way is to delete all the raw txt files and replace with the MixMod ones, that should clear it up. One of the more important tests I did was to ensure there weren't any dupe errors anymore so there shouldn't be any problems with 'em when properly installed(although I cannot say for certain that it's impossible for there to be errors).

And for the speech file errors... Okay, I DL'ed the MixMod 0.9 file myself and it looks like the reason is clear, apparently it only has the raw files in it, while all the error mentions stem from the lack of data/speech files, which are few in number but still there. Sdonourg will have to fix that.



sirboomalot: Yeah, like Deathsword said, your miners probably ran into some metastone while digging. It can be annoying yes, but hey, you can always have more dorfs(and the stone is one-time only effect per boulder piece(and there won't always be a boulder left with less-experienced miners))! As for the part where the caverns are way too close for comfort, just go to the worldgen options and tinker with 'em a little. Add some more levels for the Z-levels between spots place.

9 war earth dragons as part of a multi civ siege = 40+ deaths and 1 surviving Kobold. She's just making coffins while everything that flies decides if they want to come over the wall or not. Lots of food and no seeds. One of the dragons burned the seed stockpile. I hope this Kobold is hungry. She's going to be !@$%ing seeds and coffins for months.

Save me, Mr. President!

He's friendly to me.

MixMod is hilarious. So many crazy things.

edit: Bwahahaha. He's fighting with his leather trousers, breathing fire, and bruising the dragons to death.

A Herald is friendly... the things you see when you are catching up on threads kinda randomly. I'll have to gawk at the raws sometime this week to see why. Funky. :o

Is this one of the beings that has 5000 for its stats? I had to cheat kill one in a past world because it was just too powerful and hated me. I'll have to kill this one soon as well because it murders everything on the screen in my favor. Or maybe I'll just turn it evil and capture it for emergencies.

I'm going to sift through some of these mods and maybe make one where the trap immune tag is gone from the larger beasts. None of the mega beasts, but normal giant ones that show up in the 50 strong sieges. I wish the seigers would identify that they hate each other from world gen and start infighting (centaurs and demons at least).

You can't fix the seigers thing, but you can cage them later.
EDIT: I'm working through the raws, but could you just tell me the ones that need to lose it? And anything that doesn't need lock pick ought to get it tossed too.

Yes. It's 5K stats and 14 in skills. It still gets thrashed in world gen :/
At least I hadn't gotten to any changes that came to mind with Flame Travelers since I was testing those against Bronze Bigguns. They'd be even more dangerous. Of course that's kind of their point. Appear and wipe everything out, move to next place... too bad they don't do this at all yet. Right now it's a regular occurrence to see them dueled out of existence.

Which mod is the one that add Downtrodden/Pornstar kobolds? I'm getting a far to in depth detail about kobold dongs.

Downtrodden are mine. Pureed in Incubus and Succubus Mod to get the bits that are annoying you. Those bits are then applied all over the place (depending on how much AL got left in the default raws... haven't looked just yet. Kinda afraid to gawk at the MixMod-ness).

Is it that you don't want them described? Don't want them on the more regularly appearing creatures? Out entirely? Only removed from kobolds?

Depending on how you'd prefer things, it can get a tad messy...
(Body Part, Body Part Coloration, Attacks based on the Body Part)

Not impossible. Just messy.
