I actually enjoyed that film, though I remember it being one of the first films where the studio realised they could get the rating certificate down by shooting all the fight scenes in stuttery jump-cuts where the camera moves more than the action, so you never actually see anything and it's all just a confusing mess.

Good film, though I think Pitch Black is the better of the two.

I do think they ruined the series with Chronicles of Riddick, to be honest. I was like, "WUH? He isn't human???"

Also, Necromongers is such a stupid name for a group of villains. I think, when I watched it in the cinema, a bunch of chavs started laughing and went "MONGS! MONGS!" which is fair enough. >.> I personally would've shouted "DEAD MONGS! DEAD MONGS!" but you know.

I've not seen it in years, but I thought he was human but from some other planet? Wasn't everyone in that film human?

Well it says they're an evolutionary off-shoot of humans, so I guess we're both right. That rage of the furians thing is a bit lame though, forgot about that.

Fantastic Mr. Fox. One of my favorite movies of all time, not to mention of the last year.

I was seriously surprised with how good that was. Especially with all the stuff about Wes Anderson directing it without ever going to the set.

Pans Labyrinth. I heard a lot about this so I decided to watch this semi-recently and found it to be quite good. On the other hand I also watched 2001 and found it to be long periods of boring interspersed with the occasional brilliance, the brilliance was not worth the boring. Although I do now recognise a lot more references, especially the futurama episode where bender dates the planet express ship.

The Blues Brothers is a good ol' classic to watch through.

I don't watch many movies, but I really enjoyed In Bruges.
A kind-of morbid action with some comedic elements, wikipedia calls it black comedy but then I think of this

Yes, good film.  Weird film.  Very good film.

I also just remembered The Jacket, which I rather enjoyed.  Being a limey, you might get some added entertainment out of it seeing as Keira Knightley does an American accent in this one (and quite well at that).

I think someone should make a movie version of A Song Of Ice And Fire, just a passing thought.

I like the casting decisions overall.

EDIT: Ack! Just noticed that they've changed casting for Catelyn Stark. Was originally going to be Jennifer Ehle (Elizabeth Bennett in the BBC version of Pride and Prejudice). Now they've got some chick that's mostly just done single-episode roles on British TV, and some stage work. Boo hiss.

Sean Bean is full of win at least.
