I obviously know that popular opinion does not make it so. I was saying that it is perfectly reasonable for people who believe you scummy to vote for you.

I believe we can agree on this one, yes. All it takes to think I'm scummy is one good reason.

If he does not believe your arguments then he will think you scum. So it's reasonable for him to vote for you because he doesn't like your arguments. Saying 'nuh uh I'm not scum so there' doesn't really make any sense if you don't explain why.

Why, god damn it, why? Why is being wrong suddenly scummy? It's not been scummy before. What's special about this game that magically transforms mistaken views into scumminess? Thinking my argument is incorrect is not alone a good enough reason to think I'm scum!

And why do I have to explain anything IF YOU MOTHERFUCKERS WON'T SAY THE CHARGES AGAINST ME? The burden of proof rests with the prosecution, not the defense. I don't have to prove I'm town, you guys have to prove I'm scum, and not one person has seriously tried to prove I'm scum, not even Webadict. Every time I shoot his arguments down, he doesn't respond. He just pretends he's won simply because he's fooled 6 of you guys (which is being generous, there's no way that my entire wagon is town).

I still think that the self vote was scummy. I just think that Webadict's other actions (mostly his WOT explaining himself) outweighed the scumminess, and I now see that self vote as a mistake. You, however, I think are scummy mostly because of the incredible speed on which you jumped Webadict at the start of Day 2 with absolutely no reasoning in a KWN round, after Org had voted him. Granted, you were arguing him as scum in the assist phase. Org is a person I'm used to making no sense at all, so I didn't see him as that scummy for voting Webadict.

NOTE THE FUCKING BOLDED PART! YOU LITERALLY SAID IT! During the assist phase, I changed my mind and decided Webadict was scum.

And why are you giving Org a pass for wagon hopping and making no sense? We've long since decided that "He's Org" is no longer a valid defense.

Also: If you are also horrified about lurkers (and know what to do about it), why do you leave me to do the questioning?

I did not "leave you to do the questioning", but I did leave you to do nearly all the questioning. Very, very different. Or exactly the same, I'm not sure 

Anyways, even if I did question someone, I've only got about 12 hours left to do it unless we extend, and I think we can only extend once anyways. Is that acceptable? Fuck no, I should still be leaving questions behind. And guess what, I left an order for everyone when they get on to get the conversation going again, but I doubt I'm going to get many takers. I guarantee that everyone's just going to lurk the 12 hours until I get lynched. Except that I'm going to ask for one extension, no more even if I can get more. Yes, I'm extending to save my own ass, but consider it this way. If you exclude me, how productive has day 2 been? How much information have you gathered on Org? On tehstefan? On Zako?

Okay, Mr.Person, you're saying people are scummier than yourself or me, but fail to list too many. You even include tehstefan, who I believe is currently dead. Who do you believe is scum then, other than me? I mean, you list out some arguments against me, but no one else. The only thing you ARE right about is how quiet it is today. At no point did I say anybody was acting scummier than me or you. Yes, I've done some scummy shit, specifically the Leafsnail-is-scum shit. Every time I said Leafsnail just replace him with Solifuge and everything is exactly what I meant it to be. Since nobody, not even Webadict, has bothered to explain the problem with it, I'll explain why my own action is scummy. It's because it sends the sign that I don't give a shit who gets lynched. But since what I really meant was Solifuge, I did in fact care. I was also wrong at the time, but hey, you can't win them all. If anybody else has any other points to bring to the table, I'm ready to go. There's literally not a single attack for me to explain away.

I'd like to point out that Zako and Jokerman HAVE NOT POSTED ONCE SINCE DAY TWO STARTED! Why are we allowing this shit? (I would vote one of them right now but since it's KWN day, I'm VERY hesitant to unvote Webadict until I'm 100% sure I'm going to get lynched. This is both because he's scum and because he's actually Webadict, which makes it a double whammy to unvote him.

Except in KWN, I had to die to transfer the Webadict. The only problem is it's not about wanting to lynch whoever; it's that you weren't paying any attention to who you were accusing, and therefore making things up.

I'm not the Webadict though (or at least not the scum one), and Org unvoted me first, so there's that. But, yeah, let's get Jokerman-EXE and Zako in here, and the rest.

And I did explain what I found scummy about you. I just suppose you've answered them, but that doesn't really excuse the fact that you DID them. You shouldn't be rolefishing or throwing out WIFOM. And, let's not care about me for a moment and look at everyone else: Who is scum and why?

I have a 6-8 page paper (rather, a brick of three sub-papers, so to speak) on reading that I haven't done from a book I didn't bother to buy. I'm constantly tired - I collapsed without even showering last night. I feel gross beyond all reason right now, so I should shower soon, in fact.

Like I said in my SUPERMEGAOFFICIAL thread, I'll try to get some activity in but make no promises - my education and moving out can and will take priority.

Well, I am the WIFOM Wizard... I suppose it is almost my duty to defend my honor in Magical Merlinface Mafia or whatever the hell this is. Even so, it'd be preferable to get two scum, or a brave town who knows they'll win the battle over a scum opponent.

But no, Zako is Wacko. You see things that aren't there, and create meanings to satisfy your preconceptions. You are trying to prove yourself right, by running all the facts and realities through a scum-tinted lense.

If you knew my playstyle, you'd know I would never offer to be "controlled" by teammates, unless I'm acting as bait for a confirmed high-value Townie. Self-Sacrifice on a scum team is a terrible idea, unless your death guarantees that your few buddies can pull the extra weight. Besides, I'm usually the one pulling the stringes. I'm far too self-aggrandizing to ever condone my own death.

Anywho, I am Unvoting All, including you, because I'm garnering the feeling that you're just a paranoid townie. My votes are being stockpiled, as I reassess the comming battle.

WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK SHIT? No reasoning here? Votes on the guys who already have the most votes (meaning no scumhunting)? Complete 180 on what he just said? What's going on? I voted Solifuge and asked for a reasoning. He responds with

I've come to notice two different philosophies when it comes to Mafia.

There are players who speak from their personal perspective, based on what they know and observe. They vote based on intuition, observation, and deductive reasoning.

Then there are players who act from a position of self-proclaimed authority, often citing "Experienced Mafia Players", Classic Scumtells and Gambits, and Wikis, etc. They take little observations, and use inductive reasoning to make broad generalizations about individuals and behaviors. They tend to demand things of other players, and make up an arbitrary series of systems and rules which they expect everyone to adhear to.

Of the two, the later are immensely less helpful, and  more annoying. Undeserving Self-Importance is one of the few things that makes me angry at people.

WONDERFUL, AN AD HOMINEM ATTACK! PERFECTION! That'll sure make you look town, Solifuge, or explain why you voted Webadict and GeneralGuy (which to this day he's not explained). Does any of this make sense to you guys? Any of it at all?

Something I just realized: Webadict, if you had such an issue with me "ninja-assisting" during the Assist Phase, why didn't you say anything about it when I actually did it? Why didn't you say anything when Cheetar did it, or Org did it, or ToonyMan did it? What makes it ok for Cheeetar to ninja assist but not me?

I did, but I made the same exact mistake I make in every game I play in; I drop great attacks to attack new people until I eventually hit a townie, then the scum jump on to my vote and make it a bandwagon. All the town's attention is there and I think that because there's a lot of people voting the townie, it MUST be right! Aaaah, fallacies!

Oh, and of course Solifuge jumps on to my bandwagon, too. All he's done is jump on bandwagons. That's it. No scumhunting, no original accusations, almost no questions, just late jumps onto bandwagons and lurking.

Webadict brings up good points. Eh, what's the worst that can happen? Unvote Webadict, vote Solifuge. They're both scum, but I'll take the one I can actually lynch over the one I have no chance of lynching any day of the week.

I'm going to place my vote on Cheeetar. It seems to me that he's got Mr.Person off-balance and is simply pushing without a real direction in order to draw scumtells out of him that may not be the result of actually being scum, but of being constantly attacked. This is just my gut feeling though.

You should know that I'm only invested in games where I'm scum. If I'm town, with a particularly uninteresting role, I tend to gravitate toward more engaging Mafias.

I'll admit that I'm fickle. I do appologize for any lameness that might bring to the game though. I'll see what I can do to get caught up this weekend... but I'm totally pulling 50 hour weeks, plus accelerated spring/summer classes in evenings, so my weekend has been compromised as well.
