I was playing some Adventure mode, beating elves to death with a grizzly bear corpse, when in the end I was shot to pieces by their marksman or w/e they are, crappy leather armour . So I decided to take a look at Legends of my world, this is an entry I came across. I lol'd and imagined what on earth an Ass monster could be exactly ? is it a giant ass that kills people, or is it a monster that just loves ass? I feel sorry for that goblin, I can only imagine his death wasn't pleasant.

Ass is another word for donkey, it must have seemed more olde thymey to Toady than donkey so amongst the moose demons and chicken fiends we've got these ass monsters that crack up all the fourteen year olds playing (or anyone who loves bad double entendres really)

That's what I thought... because ingame I had seen 'Mules' and 'Donkeys' therefore I didn't think 'ass' would be referring to those... then again I have been playing 40d fortress mode and 2010 adventure mode, so I dont know lol.

After tracking more on the ass monster it turns out he became the law giver of a group of Elves and Goblins, which went onto to attack and destroy a group of elves over the next 130+ year.

You could actually have an ass monster made out of ash, twisted into humanoid form. It'll have long coarse hair all over its body. Beware its toxic dust.

I mean, how did the game get it? Usually creatures are named *material* monster or *creature type* monster.

Apparently, the ass is a creature type. Donkey, or somesuch. Toady called it "ass", though.
