3 of my dwarves immediately bled to death. I suppose they forgot to bring a towel.

Brian - heat transfer is bugged so the volcano probably melted them (it melts the fat off, which doesn't do any damage, but then the system goes "oh no! I'm missing something important!" and starts bleeding).

That's taken 1 frame after embark. After that... well, in that save, only 1 dwarf "survived" but then he immediately got

I can see 6 dwarves... three of them was pushed down by nearby cave-in?

Udib: "Hey! let's go to see how deep is that volcano!"
Urist: "Ok! there's nice place near those big floating in mid-air natural floors!"

True, but at a certain velocity the resulting explosion expels invader-bits at fatal speeds. You don't want to be dropping trogdolyte-shaped shrapnel bombs into your boneworks.
