I assumed that anything not listed as tiered would automatically be same-cost, but I see your side.
GM ruling will affect both your and Urist's purchases, as Urist seems to have taken a different approach and assumed most other equipment came under plate.

Also, Supercharazad, what kind of environment will the battles be taking place in? Standard arena/strictly on land/sealed chamber/magma island, etc?

It depends, I'll roll a dice before each battle, 1-2 means totally dry (this is in a box with no top) 3-4 is filled with water and 5-6 is half filled (as in 4's and 3's)

Each fight will be in a 5X5 box.
