Seeing how it's Everyone Draw Muhammad day, I'm naming one of the kids Mohammad. I hope you're cool with this.

I wanted to draw Muhammad sodomizing a pig and a dog. Too bad I can't draw...

So we got monsters above, monsters below, dwarves in the middle and a party in the dining hall. Sounds good to me.
If all else fails, remember one thing:  kittens are delicious, nutritious little goblin-baiters, cavern explorers, and ambush-finders.

To kill or not to kill?

Shall the forgotten beasts remain an ever-present threat to the fortress, mooching off its fps?

Next time you get a miner immigrant, I suggest operation Fuck The World:  Much simpler to execute in this place.  All you have to do is open the caverns to the world, and let the backed-up megabeasts decompress like a shaken bottle of soda.

I have absolutely no idea what's going on in this fort any more. Migrants arrive, they die for some reason, the fort is flooded for another reason, then dwarves go mad, more dwarves die and I'm just laughing in my distress.

One of the Forgotten Beasts is on the surface, isn't it? Also, the caverns aren't connected to one another (although a miner could do that, albeit at the risk of dying when he breached the first one)

Operation: Fuck the Surface.

Just remember to wall up the immigrant airlock - building destroyers can now smash bridges.

They always could.  But pulled drawbridges are invincible.  Not even dwarves can deconstruct them.

And yes, I meant letting out the non-flying megabeasts too.  In fact it may be possible to do so from total safety, opening paths to natural ramps via cave-ins punching holes in floors...
