Uh-oh. Brak was taken by a fey mood. And he's screaming for tanned hides, which I don't have.
Ok, what spare animals do we have for slaughter...

Edit: And we also got a miner in the latest batch of migrants... I wonder.

Managed to get the hides in time, he's building his leather dildo or whatsit now. EDIT: Turned out to be a gabbro weapon rack.

As a side note, since one of the migrants was a miner I decided to play around with em. The group did exactly what the original group did. Dug down. Into the topmost UG cavern.
I'm going to see how long they can survive. They have one pick between them, and nothing else.

The party consist of:
Avuz Delethulon, the savior
Ushat Eseshlikot
Kogsak Omermonom
Tekkud Ingishodgúb
Uzol Zanoradil
Udib Udilalåth, child

Although I must say it's not looking too good. I've only found dimple cups so far.
I'll try fishing as well, beyond that looks like a lost cause.

Barbarossa: do you want it from the main group or this new splinter group?

Roger that, main or branch fort?

Also, things are looking up for the refugees, I discovered the remains of a number of elven caravans topside. I'll try to salvage what I can while the skeletal elephants are elsewhere.

Edit: On the other hand, I'm also seeing some giant cave spider webbing in the cave.

Edit 2: More migrants showed up. They now number at 19. They're quickly scouring the area of anything that might be useful. They might live through this after all.
Although there's a skeletal jaguar chasing them.

Here are the refugees.

I wouldn't call this exactly safe, no. But comparatively safe, yes.

Branch fort, yessir.

I have sad news. Grunk was outside with the others when a skeletal jaguar attacked. It picked Grunk as it's target, and gave chase. Grunk bravely lead the beast away from the others, but eventually it caught him. The results were predictable.
Take a look.

Good to see the invincible undead bug was fixed this version. I had forgotten weather it was this version or next...

Huzzah! The mighty empire of Splinterville is safe! We must dig an empire to rival even that of Deepspark!  :P

The skeletal elephants returned, but I managed to get the most important stuff inside, as well as all nineteen dwarves. No idea what to do next. The elves had some wood, so I can make a few beds, and there's some booze, plenty of berries, roots and flour, and we have access to water. No axes though, or weapons of any kind in fact. What to do with these guys... Any ideas? We need a permanent food supply. Although we might be able to scrounge by on looting dead caravans. What do you guys think?

Let's see.
You have wood. Make training axes. Cut wood using wood, they won't know what hit them. Proceed to make the usual stuff.
Get berries, make booze out of them, use seeds to plant more berries.
When you have the time make a wooden cage and start a portable catsplosion, if you don't have the cats for it, use any other butcherable animal.
Oh, and loot the dead caravans to have trade goods in case any caravan actually survives enough to get to you.
