Another FB showed up.

A gigantic blob made of vomit. Beware it's webs.

You know, I used to think the forgotten beasts were cool, but now I find myself missing the goblins of old. At least they weren't so COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS.

I also noticed that you can't in fact make armour out of silver. At least according to the wiki.

So we'll go into battle naked?  :D

Oh, and webbing vomit blob is awesome, actually. And disgusting. Can't wait to poke it with an adamantine stick

The armor should be made out of adamantine while the weapons should be made out of heavier materials (such as silver).

Adamantine makes kickass edged weapons.

Not against indestructable enemies, and some of them beasts look that way.

Cave-ins destruct the indestructible.

And aren't nearly as much fun ( or Fun, I guess ). But we could always use it to finish off the indestructible ones after the army sacrifices have killed the ones we can kill all died horribly to flying vomit blobs.

Might be funnier to drop them into the magma sea. If they can't get out, and they don't die, they can just thrash around in agony. Although I guess some will melt...can't keep track of them all anymore.

Silver is better (maybe even the best, but not sure. I'd have to check the density) for blunt weapons. Adamantine is better for edged. I don't think there are exceptions.

So we got monsters above, monsters below, dwarves in the middle and a party in the dining hall. Sounds good to me.
If all else fails, remember one thing:  kittens are delicious, nutritious little goblin-baiters, cavern explorers, and ambush-finders.

Blunt: Lead, Gold, Platinum, Unobtanium
Edged: Unobtanium

Um, very much not. The first three can't even be used for weapons and spoilermetal is actually the worst metal as far as blunt weapons go. Then again, blunt weapons all suck in this here version; only silver ones are at least... decent and even that is an overstatement.

We are thinking of different spoilermetals. The Unobtanium of which I speak is very good for blunt weapons. Too bad it's nigh-unobtainable.

Every time somebody spoilers Adamantine, Toady loses a line of code.
And you guys ask why the 0.28 to 0.31 jump took so long.

There's only one Deep metal. There are two stones, one of which can be turned into that metal, one of which is unworkable, even if produced in a reaction.

Hey, I put a spoiler warning in the first post. You can talk about this stuff.

Had an internet breakdown last night, only just now got back online.
