Screw the roos, I wanted to see the 2m tall, man-eating emus.

The Marx generator will produce Engels-waves which should allow the inherently unstable isotope of Leninium to undergo a rapid Stalinisation in mere trockoseconds.

Oh sorry, I made a typo; it should have read 3M TALL MANEATING EMU!

(note, okay, it was a few million years before man, and was more closely related to a goose then an emu, but goddamn, it weighed half a ton and f**ked s**t up!)

Giant sloths.
More like a grizzly with claws similar to Wolverine's.
Did I mention that they were carnivores?
I'm pretty sure Australia had them at one point.

Wait. They had 3m tall emu like birds in New Zealand* as well. They were wiped out by Polynesian settlers.

*Oh, is that not a word, Firefox?

WELL WHAT THE HELL DO YOU KNOW?

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

I love how the article title makes it sound like Giant Spider is some celebrity who's been caught doing something naughty.

We also have Lyrebirds, which are actually somewhat of a menace to woodcutters, as the birds have an annoying habit of mimicing the sound of a chainsaw, followed by a cry of "TIMBER" and the sound of a tree falling down. This, unsurprisingly, scares the shit out of the woodcutters, because they don't know where the damn tree is and if they're about to get bashed on the head by a falling tree.

They evolved in symbiosis with douchebirds, who scream "you got punk'd!" immediately afterwards.
