Yes I would be very happy with joining but only if it was a Risk style game, maybe with each territory broken down into constituencies (opening a sort of political side to the game) that would have existed at the Time or the present day constituencies or even broken down into tiny areas of Parishes. You may however may just wish to break the country down into Counties but that method seems to "round off" the fighting/political warefare.

If we are playing risk then please, please, please can I be a Socialist faction, pleeeeeaaasssee?

Rather than having them directly force you to mine adamantine, I would suggest that they give you strange moods that require adamantine. "Dig out the adamantine or Urist here goes insane and dies" is suitably vicious.

(It occurs to me that you can probably get "Lovecraft" as the random name of your fortress. That's when you know you're screwed.)

What if I combined the two parts, with you guys playing as members of a faction in a DnD style and the political stuff going on at the same time which can be influenced by your actions, possibly even directly if you guys climb up the ladder of power enough?

That sounds like a very interesting proposition, i am still struggling to picture it however.

Are you reffering to the DnD style play, or the assisting in the design process of the game?

I have no experience with DnD and limited experience with Risk so I guess I would leave it down to you :P

Playstyle within larger political framework.

Ah, very good, it looks like through popular demand we're going with that anyway. By the by, would you be willing to assist in the design process? I've started work and could probably use all the help I can get.

Thank you, would you prefer to work on background or rules? Or just contribute as you see fit.

So, what side would the players of this game be on? Knowing would make rules creation a little easier. Should we put it to a vote? I was thinking maybe either mercenaries, or an "Abe Lincoln Brigade" style American all-volunteer, group, maybe the "Washington Brigade," which picks its side and does missions for certain groups to gain favor, or one of the previously mentioned main factions. You guys decide.

sounds good to me. Maybe have siding with different factions give you unique benefits?
