Okay, so, slight addition to the rules (which I put into a double post so it would be noticed as "new"), the victory conditions are to own all of England, and be crowned king in London. However, the point of "secret objectives" and such, are that the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place winners will be determined by the people who recieve the most points via the grading system of;
A. 6 points for a completed objective.
B. 1 point for every turn each territory is held.

We will be starting this (Thursday, May 6) afternoon, with neutral counties used in the fashion that recieves the most votes in the poll by then. Any new recruits up until around 3:00 today (Thursday, May 6) will be welcomed! Good luck everyone!

Okay guys, you can all start posting your moves now (either on the thread, or by PM, your choice)! The votes show that we will be playing with neutral countries able to be invaded normally (2nd option). Once I recieve everybody's moves, I will announce the results of the first week, as well as everyone's newly recruited men, and everyones new funds. Good luck!

P.S. Don't hesitate to ask questions about gameplay either via PM, or directly onto the thread.

And here's how the turns work;

you have 3 basic types of action, you can have multiple of these per turn (week), within reason (except for armies, they get 1),

1) Your character. Probably used for stuff like Diplomacy. For instance, going around to nobles to try and raise funds, or to bishops and the like to gain church support, or negotiations with NPC territories.

2) Your government. Examples: Collecting taxes, Ordering more food production, ordering weapons and armor, ect.

3) One action for each separate army you form. Training, patrolling, create defenses, furloughing the troops, whatever.

Rushing Cheshire with All men but archers.

Okay so, we're going to start up with a more definite rule system next turn, based an actions, and time and money as resources to buy the actions (this turn, everyone just stick to what they're currently doing). the way it will work is that every player starts each turn with 1 "a little money" per region controlled, London counts as 3 (money is cumulative, and can be saved between turns). If High Taxes are introduced, each county affected counts as 2. A "lot of money" is equal to 2 "a little money"s. Each player also starts with 1 "time" per county controlled. Each unit can only perform 1 action per turn, except for spies and diplomats, who can perform 2 per turn. Here is a comprehensive list of the actions for each part of the game, followed by (their costs), some with a second () section preceding the cost that describe their effects or limits.

Okay, so the results of turn 2.

Inteuniso;

Inteuniso has attacked Hampshire with his army. They locate the local lord, and his general sets up an ambush of sorts. Seeing that the lord has holed up in his stronghold, and that he has neither the manpower, nor the time for a siege, he splits up his forces and sets all but a small party, 200 strong, in the woods around the castle. This small party approches the castle, yelling challenges at its occupants. the lord of Hampshire, John Hampshire, sallies out from the castle, leaving only a token force to defend it. As he rushes out, the 200 man group retreats, allowing the rest of Inteuniso's men to rush from the surrounding woods, encircling Lord Hamshire and cutting him off from the castle. His party is slaughtered to a man and he is captured. Using him as a hostage, Inteuniso takes the castle. Success! With a loss of only 100 MAR, 200 Bowmen, and 20 Riders. Inteuniso also sends a diplomat to John Clifford of Sussex to appeal for annexation. The diplomat is paraded around the grounds of Lord Sussex's capitol city in a jester outfit and is led back to Inteuniso's lands in shame, chained, and with his tongue cut and burnt out.

Flintus has appealed to the locals of Derbs, improving his popularity there. He also recruited and trained a further 500 MAR and 800 Bowmen to a degree of excellence!

Paranatural;

Paranatural is currently involved in a combat of representation by champions with John Clifford of Hampshire and Sussex, which is planned to take place next week. He has ensured that his lords brought in a good harvest, and will start next turn with an extra "a lot of money". His navy was spotted moving to Dorset on Hampshire by coastal villages earlier.

Frelock;

Frelock has requested an alliance with Ex Kirby, which will require the latter party's consent before it can be properly cemented. Frelock has also mounted an attack on Derbyshire with his army, declaring war on Flintus10. Frelock's men approach Derbyshire, and soon encounter one of Flintus10's heralds, requesting that Frelock's troops will meet those of Ex Kirby on the fields of Avalon so as to partake of an organized battle. Frelock agrees, and heads for the fields of Avalon. Unfortunately when Frelock arrives a day later, it has snowed and a dense fog has drifted in on a terrible wind. Frelock's men, with the wind in their faces, prepare to provide supporting fire as their men at arms move to assault Flintus's position, but suddenly they are stuck by hundreds of arrows coming from Flintus's position. Their men at arms fall back behind their longbowmen, who exchange fire with Flintus's men until both sides have shot their full quivers. They then move to assault, unbeknownst to them, however, with the wind in their faces that while Flintus's men's arrows were fully effective, precious few of Frelock's arrows were able to find their mark in the terrible winds, and when the time comes to move into the melee, they are easily repelled by the numbers of Flintus's forces. Flintus has lost 200 bowmen 500 MAR and 40 Riders, while Frelock has lost twice that number.   

Warhammer651;

Warhammer has fortified both Notts and Lincoln, and word is that he has split his army to do so. Word has also come of armies being brought in from both Calais and Germany! The army of Calais arriving this week and the German army arriving next week. He has also been disrupting work going on in both Derbs and Yorkshire with constant raids, leaving both counties useless next week. This means that neither will provide their owners with money next week. He also sent a diplomat to Leicestire to discuss annexation. The diplomat, however, was killed by bandits (though some say by enemy forces disguised as bandits) en route to Leicestire.

ExKirby has attacked Chesire with his army, declaring war on Flintus10. Flintus' heralds tell Kirby's men that Flintus' army is currently invloved in fighting with Frelock's men, and that he should "come back next week." ExKirby, flustered, pulls his men back to the border where they anxiously await the coming of "next week".

I just say what I see in your roles, you didn't role so well (1), and the defender rolled ok (3), so I took that to mean, give the defender a chance. Am I right? Also, you weren't in command, because you never said so, and you hired no general, so it was some stupid lord in command. Happy?
