Ok, so I finally managed to get past the last earth level with the blast cannons.  Yay!  Now more slog... Hm, I don't think this is my type of game.

HIB2 time has been extended by 4 days. Time left: 5 days 15 hours. Profit this far: $1,142,600.

4 day extension is pretty sweet.

Also, I'd like to know who the hell "girfl" is to have more than 3K to give, so I can give him a completely no-homo bearhug. Unless of course girfl is a girl...

That top donation entry looks like someone emptied their (or someone else's?) bank account for the bundle.

Hmm ... an interesting discrepancy between Windows / Mac / Linux users in terms of average donation:

Win: about 6.5 dollars
Mac: about 8.5
Linux: about 13.5

There must be some sociological conclusion that can be drawn from this ...

Linux and Mac users are very happy that they are finally getting some quality games? ;D

It was abooot the same for the last bundle, and despite this windows users as a whole contributed more than both combined simply because there's so many of them. However, we can see why supporting Mac and Linux for games can have a huge benefit (almost twice as much profit).

People are willing to pay more for macs, maybe willing to pay more for games

In addition there are tons more PC users, and therefore more people probably willing to put in .01

Yeah. All the non-elitist douchebags use PC. They pay 1 cent, then abscond with a $84.99 profit.

Supply and demand: There's a greater supply of PC games, therefore they are valued less overall?  Alternately: Both Windows and Linux users have a constant amount of money they are willing to spend on games per month.  Fewer games means more money per game.

Demographics: Windows users have less money to spend, or rather, Linux users have more money to spend, perhaps.

Gifts: You buy it for ten bucks for yourself...then you decide to get it for some friends, too, who you know wouldn't or couldn't buy it themselves, but you can't quite justify paying ten bucks for each copy.  Statistically, more users run Windows, therefore this would be done more often by Windows users.

Stylistic interests: Some of these are weird-genre games that might not appeal to Windows users as much.

Already-owned games: Wasn't Braid available for Windows before it was available to Linux?  If you already own a game, you don't want to pay as much because you're getting less for your buck.

I don't think there are many people spending $0.01 for this game.  I suspect that there are many people who spend $2.00 to get it, who otherwise would spend $0.00.  Overall that's a win.
