Looks like a few websites are making big donations so they can bask in the humble bundle spotlight. The bundle is so well known after the first one that it's a pretty good marketing idea actually. Never heard of site5.com and pubnub.com before, so it's working.

I would buy this if I could, but I'm still in school and haven't been able to find a job, so...

It looks sleazy. I'm not against, say, a site or group giving a thousand dollars in the name of the site... like, "google.com : $1000". But to put a cupon code and take up three lines? The right thing to do is just ask to buy ad space.

Kinda makes me want to donate more than 10,000 to fill in all the top spots.

Ragnar: Buy it for $5. They'd rather that you paid a little rather than being unable to buy it.

Fuck charity, they can go to hell, my money is for devs, not some charity who I don't even know is legit or not.

Kinda hard to pay when you have no way of paying online.
I'm still in high school, can't really get a bank account due to not having a job, Same for Paypal.

This is Wolfire we're talking about. Contact them, they'll probably let you mail them cash or something similar. They've done it before with their own game after all.

I only spent 1 penny, so I decided all of it should go to the devs

No, Saint is just crazy. I gave most of mine to the devs, since they actually MADE the games, but... those are some of the most well known charities around. Not legit? Well then, they have been doing one AMAZING job covering it up.

If you abbreviate Child's Play, it spells CP.

That should warn you.

I haven't heard anything bad about childs play myself, although I haven't heard anything much at all.  They're definitely legit, at least as legit as half the charities we get pushed to support in school.

Although, I'm probably going to spread my (Small amount of) money evenly, while I don't have anything against charities I personally consider indie devs to be as important...

Just snagged HIB#2 for $20. I love John's promotional songs for these things... all the dorky references. Mostly went for Braid and Cortex Command 24.

I split it as per default... about 75% to the Devs, 20% split between the charities, and 5% to Wolfire Games for organizing the thing, and because I like their work and attitude a lot. They do good stuff.

I just was about to not buy this, thinking it was out of my price range. (ha)
So it's gonna be good to see the new Cortex Command. I'm looking forward to new Skirmish modes etc.

EDIT: Jeez, you guys. How could you not hear of Child's Play? Not only is it set up by the makers of Penny Arcade, but it was also mentioned in the Jack Thompson-Derek Yu case.

I paid $1 for HIB2. I am a terrible person.

Other people should hopefully make up for that small amount, though. If I feel more regret, I'll buy it again with a larger amount.

No I just hate charities.
They have done nothing, if I want to do something for the poor I go out and do it my self or with a group, not give money to a faceless corperation.
