It would be nicer if they actually tranced more easily than common dwarves, but nevertheless, nice idea :)

I really want that one as a "when". I want "grubs", and "virgin woman" to turn into a dragon. and monkey children to suddenly sprout wings. And I want the Dwarven Mutant Academy to only gain their powers upon reaching puberty. I also have a whole host of odd creatures that only make sense if I divide them into children and adults.

Also, tadpoles.

Dwarves with high [PERSONALITY:ANGER] scores should probably go berserk more easily (in or out of combat). Toady has described martial trances as more of a desperate emotionless killing machine mode that Dwarves enter when they are outnumbered:

In my homebrew orc fortress, where orcs have a very high anger(and all the other hostile sounding traits), and their ethics treat interpersonal bodily injury(and most other crimes) as ACCEPTABLE, I had a massive invasion kill about 15% of the population.  The rest of the population went CRAZY with tantrums, started busting the place up and literally murdering each other.  It was pretty amazing to watch, actually.  Because of the civ ethics, none of these things were crimes.

Also worth noting:  You know how you can't butcher goblin corpses for bones, skulls etc?    My orcs had no problem butchering elves and humans.  I think the

ethics now apply directly to butchery.

Are you certain?  I haven't tested to find out exactly which tags are required because it requires generating a new world with and playing until you have sentient corpses each time you change a tag.  Its a little too time-consuming for me.
