Alternate Keybindings no longer working in DF2010?

I distinctly recall having multiple keystrokes set to perform the same command in 40d, but can't seem to do so in DF2010.  I've tried fooling around a bit with the interface.txt file in the data\init directory, but can't figure out how to do it from there.

I've tried searching the wiki, forums, and google for some info, but haven't had any luck.  Anyone able to point me in the right direction or give me a hand?

While some commands have an alternate, it is one one of the downgrades from 40d, if I am correct
