A perusal of your Tome of Etheric Guidelines reminds you that (how could you forget) summoning ethereal creatures is the realm of Incorporeal Creatures and their study. Haha! You serve a more noble cause; rather than using magic blindly, you work out where its power comes from, and how it works, then take that knowledge, and apply it. You would be better off divining how an imp works, and then simulating one, without the unfortunate side effects of mischievous destruction, stupid laughter, and the stench of brimstone.
