We'll only need that when we'll attempt to summon a major demon. A magic circle will do for now.

Also, we should try to make things that will get us money, like a coal-powered car (speculation) or something.

Also, I think that we should start thinking of moving into London, at least when we have a steady supply of income. Maybe we can cow the village into paying us protection money, or we can build a coal-powered mill or something useful.

etheric science is magic, and summoning is magic, so why don't we just get a servant first? It could spy for us, we could use it to slay our foes, and it could be a valuable companion as we delve into the world of arcane mysteries.

Why not use our knowledge to enhance the village and make it grow. Developing it and our estate untill we upgrade our home/lab into a Castle like thing and the village from a town to a city... Why go to the city when we can bring a city to us...?
