Or create a spell we used in the Ultimate handgun of etheric pain(too long?) under his room, modify it so that it lasts the whole night while creating a constant feeling of unease, if he inquires about this phenomenon say that it's probably a ghost, you would have gotten rid of it but you can't do SCIENCE!

Veto. I don't think making an inspector, who is supposed to leave here satisfied that we're not up to anything, feel uneasy about the place is a good idea.

You haven't followed Elves of Amanereli, have you?

And this game is awesome.

Agreed. He is from the institute(presumably of SCIENCE) and would most likely call our bluff. For now, as much as it may pain us, we must refrain from SCIENCE. We will have to make up for this travesty with something really big afterwords.

Because one person used several i's, then the next person used more, etc. All because of flowers :D

This.

This as well. If he accepts any trips, take him on ones you know are dangerous and could involve throwing him off a cliff.

Then don't do it.

It'll be diabolically genius to not kill the inspector when we have the chance!

The next morning you knock on the door of the Inspector's room. You hear some scrambling and furniture being moved, then the Inspector appears at the door, fully dressed. You offer to show him around the local area. No, says he, I must be on my way. Are you sure I cannot prepare a meal for you, you ask; no, says he, I really must be going. Is there any news from the Institute, you ask; oh, yes, says he, plenty.
...
Given the manner in which he said it you decide not to enquire as to what the news is.
You walk him back to the village and very diabolically refrain from tripping him over, beating him with a tree branch, then hiding his corpse in the woods.
When you arrive in the village, the Inspector hops aboard the cart bound for the nearby town without a word of goodbye. Once the cart leaves view you shake your fist at it, but it does not make you feel much better.

At least now you can get back to Science again.

It is 29 days since you returned home. It is early afternoon.
