Put my dagger in it's sheath, then go speak with the elves.

Xyloth inquires of the void again, but he hears only silence (1+1=2). He feels the presence of the voice has gone. He is alone.

~ At the tower ~

Ochita bursts through the door, and right into the middle of a dark ritual (1). Four men in dark masks scurry around an altar, making gross chants. They glare at Ochita and Saragoth, advancing on them menacingly.

Saragoth enters, but is unable to see much of value (3) due to the advancing cultists.

~ In the valley ~

Stan'la runs up to the dragons, but stumbles slightly as he begins to play his song. As a result, it is slightly disharmonious and lacks its magical potency (1+3=4). Against such a mighty beast, it is not nearly enough.

The dragon stares at him and unleashes a blast of acid at him (6). It comes really close before he manages to duck behind a large rock and avoid it (5).

The two hatchlings run up to him, nipping at him (4) (2), but he is able to dodge one of them (2) (3). However, the other's teeth merely catch his tunic (5) and he is unharmed.

~ By the elves ~

Roth sheathes his dagger, entering the elven village. They stare at him with mild displeasure (3), but make no moves against him. He walks up to the largest hut and knocks. A magnificent silver haired elf, a whole head taller than the others, steps out. "Yes?"

Lyndis flies overhead, but can't make out much of what is going on (3). She grows some claws, but they are quite short (2+1=3).

Good lord is this tower only home to animated armor and other bad crap?

Burn the cultists. Clense them with fire!

Xyloth demands the void power to return, and it bends to his will and does so (5). When he attempts to suck out its power, his effort is weak (2+1=3), and the void attempts to cast him out (5). His magic is barely able to hold him in the void (4+1=5).

~ At the awful wizard's tower ~

Saragoth sends forth a burst of flame at the cultists, burning them all (6) and catching the room on fire. They are all unable to dodge (1) (1) (4) (3), and two of them are burned to death (2) (1) (4) (5).

Ochita attempts to dispel their dark ritual, and he does so just in time (6-1=5). A demonic arm reaches out of a void, but is sucked back in as his dispel is effective.

~ At the village ~

Lyndis works on her claws, making them easily retractable (4+1=5). Roth stands around with his mouth slightly agape, making the elf look around nervously.

~ In the canyon ~

Stan'la again plays his fife, and the tune is sweet and enchanting (6-1=5). The two hatchlings stop their attack, and the green dragon looks at him, intrigued.

A voice, silken and smooth, springs into his head. "Clearly, you are a powerful man... but your magic cannot control me. I could be convinced, however, to join forces if you are persuasive enough." The dragon cocks its head, expectantly.

Shouldn't my +1 have worked as a -1 when I roll a 6?

Yes, it should have. Sorry about that. I'll address that next round as such: the room fire will go out, as it shouldn't have caught on fire in the first place.
