I search the signs of the struggl, looking for any clues as to what happened, especially if someone broke in or anything.

...Well, I'm pretty damn unlucky today. :P

I curse and kick into the air in frustration. Once I calm down, I head back home to see if I have a spare string I can use to replace the broken one.

Lisaca, seemingly distraught over the wizard's disappearance, sits around the village, aimlessly counting the leaves on a tree.

After clearing his throat in the village, ExKirby returns to another field, and stumbles over a rock. He falls face to face with an herb he has never seen before. Its tantalizing aromas bring back memories of good-old fashioned cooking (6-1=5). Certainly, this herb will be in high demand.

Saragoth examines the wizard's hut, attempting to find more clues from the struggle. However, he fails miserably, and ends up accidentally walking over the footprints and scuff marks, leaving them entirely unreadable (2).

Nimitz returns home, checking through his belongings for another string, which he finds in an old pack (4).

Stan'la sneaks up behind Nimitz as he enters (3+1=4) and attempts to strike him from behind, but Nimitz hears a rustle (4) and turns to face the intruder before any blows are landed.

GM NOTE: I added a starting weapon to each character based on his or her profession. Check the first page for more info.

Bah! Ok, I search the Wizard's hut for anything of use or interest.

Wow, large bass, expensive herbs. I'm really getting good. Now, we need some fine wines. I gather some grapes.

Good. Now I can-wait. What was- oh. It's Stan'la. Well, that's just great, I knew there was something off about him. I try to ignore the hypnosis and kick the bastard in the groin.

Saragoth takes a look around the wizard's hut, looking for something valuable. Not much catches his eye (3) besides an old bronze key, which he pockets.

ExKirby, so pleased with himself for finding herbs and a large bass, wanders into the fields again looking for grapes. However, his head is not in the right place, for he forgets that the grape fields are home to some nasty wild boars. One of which he nearly runs into (1)... it doesn't seem very happy to see him.

Elsewhere, Lisaca snaps out of her disinterested stupor and starts practicing earth magic (2+1=3). She is able to easily make stones out of the ground, but her attempts at throwing them are puny and barely worth noting.

Inside Nimitz' hut, Stan'la pulls out his fife and attempts to play a lolling melody to hypnotise Nimitz. He fails, producing a pitchy, difficult-to-listen-to song (2).

In fact, Nimitz is so distracted by the awful song that his kick, aimed squarely at Stan'la's groin, misses the target completely (1). The momentum from the powerful kick makes the archer lose his balance and tumble to the ground.

Man, I suck. Maybe I can get out of this situation in a non-violent manner. I try to get back up and convince Stan'la that trying to steal from me isn't worth it, and there will be plenty of others he can steal from in our journey. If that doesn't work, I'll just punch him in the face.
