GM Note: As I stated in the first post, +3 is ridiculously skilled... world-class. Stan'la getting there was the result of several fortuitous rolls and combat results. But the +3 is only for fife magic, not dodging, injury rolls, etc. So I wouldn't call it overpowered. Plus, theoretically you all have the same goal (rebuilding the empire of your fathers), so you aren't necessarily going to be trying to destroy each other (despite the way the first part of the game has gone).
Ochita strikes out with a dispel, striking the armor perfectly (5) as it attempts to reel away (3). The dispel removes the magic around the armor and it crumples to the ground.
Saragoth raises a fire shield expertly (4+1=5), catching the other armor as it advances despite its dodge (4). The armor is reduced to slag (1).
~ Elsewhere ~
Xythol attempts to open a gate to the void, which flickers tantalizingly on the edge of materializing (2+1=3).
Stan'la sees his efforts, and starts to reinforce it with his fife (4+1=5). The gate stabilizes. A large purple void crackling with energy stands before the two adventurers.
~ Fighting the fairy ~
Lyndis grows some sharp claws (5) and launches at the spirit, landing a mean blow (4) that the fairy dodges wildly, spinning out of control (6).
Roth takes advantage and poses a perplexing riddle to the fairy (5), which it is unable to answer (5-2=3) as it is too distracted from its wild dodge. The fairy is confused (4-1=3).
In its confusion, it tries to attack and ends up tripping (3-2=1). It falls face first onto a rock and doesn't get up (2), and blood trickles from its ears. It is clearly dead.
