Also, resist the urge to punch Stan's lights out.

Moving away from the smoldering, stone-encased dwarf, the party begins its journey to the wizard's tower.

Saragoth, examining the scroll as the group walks, inadvertently triggers the shock again (1). His hands receive a bad burn, and the scroll is consumed in magical energy (3).

Stan'la cleans his fife as they go along (6), forcing all of the mud out of the fife but noticing a slight crack in the fife as he does so. Fortunately, the crack isn't very bad (4) and it should be able to play still.

Nimitz, feeling somewhat upset at setting Aelreth aflame, is feeling quite hostile. However, he is able to successfully contain his anger towards the party and succeeds at not punching Stan'la (5).

The journey to the lake is pleasant, and the group arrives there unharmed (5). Floating above the fog-covered lake is a massive tower, tethered to no land. It must be the wizard's tower.

Player Status (OOC: I'm putting this here to keep track of any injuries/modifiers)
Stan'la - Normal
Nimitz - Normal
Saragoth - Burnt hands
Lisaca - Burnt hands
ExKirby - Normal

We should get this guy to teach us some healing magic.

Gather up a stick and light it on fire, but let someone else hold it so we can explore the fog.

Saragoth grabs a stick and puts some fancy fire spell on it to make a torch, but the moisture in the air immediately puts it back out (1+1=2). Further attempts finish the same way.

ExKirby tries to fly and realizes that he can't, in fact, fly (3). Thankfully, he doesn't hurt himself.

Nimitz, without the torch, heads forward to the edge of the lake. As he does so, he doesn't realize that he is walking into some quicksand (1). Before he even realizes it, his feet are stuck solid, and he's sinking slowly.

Lisaca, unsure of how to really do any healing, attempts to peel off the blisters on her hands (1). This really, really hurts and makes her hands very clumsy.

Stan'la expertly scoops up some mud and places it over the crack on the fife (5), fixing it perfectly. As he walks forward, he sees Nimitz stuck in the quicksand, and stops.

Well, aren't I stupid. Plus, Stan's trying to kill me. I can't get out on my own, so unless I see a branch or something else I can grab to stop myself from sinking, I will stay absolutely still. Maybe lie on my back, too; quicksand is so dense that you can't sink in it. I'll cry out for help and try to stay awake. Hopefully, my teammates hear me.

If I can see Nimitz is trouble or hear his cries: Gio forward cautiously and reach out with my staff so he can grab it and drag him out

If I'm unaware of the situation:

Use my fire magic to burn away the mist
