I'm still trying to get a handle on the new sizing modifiers, so I could be wrong, but it looks like you've made it pretty huge if I'm to guess that a bigger BODY_SIZE number corresponds to a bigger sized creature.  I'm guessing you're intending to go for the Jurassic Park movie-style raptors, in that case, which means technically they wouldn't have feathers, since the movie raptors are grossly inaccurate to real life.

bodysize 180000 is about twice the size of a man in DF for clarification.

Theoretically wouldn't it be possible to change the speed of the raptor "egg" stage to some ridiculously high number to simulate their inability to move? Something like 99999999. Of course, they would move eventually but that's to be expected (just pretend that they got knocked around by something I guess).

Nope, growth stages aren't quite that moddable yet. There are some things you can do (mostly with body(part) sizes and tissue lengths), but you can't change speed.

Meanwhile, I'm left to pondering why a cruel creature would be benign.
