That last plan is surprisingly good. They each bring in a box, stating she "didn't go down easy."

When is dividing meatcreatures into several pieces ever not a good plan?

Is the Thursdays-only thing because of the GM not having the time, or someone else?

Safia would want to stay in the forest at least until the villagers are settled into the new area. After that, She'd be willing to go wherever.

My cleric is in the same boat. He can't just abandon people in need; not only would that go against his own morals, it would probably piss off his deity as well(Since Bahamut is the protector of the weak).

This thread is just for communication between sessions. We play weekly live sessions that last several hours (and have done for about 3 months now) over Maptool as a six player party. It's the internet version of playing around a table, as opposed to playing by post.

Ramum will be glad to have a bit more time as a group to try to finish the problem at hand. I don't feel like I can have him leave Thornevine in-character strictly because the party is doing so, at least until it's relatively clear that there are no more actions there he can take with his current power to continue trying to figure out how to solve the problem.
Then again, he does value your assistance in the matter (and is aware that any one of you could leave the party at any time), so, given the number of people interested in this Deola person, depending how long it might take and if we can spend a few more days trying to ascertain if there's anything we can do, he might agree to go and help out.
It's his decision though, I can't speak for him.

Just remembered I forgot to mention something

Starting next Friday I will be on vacation for 2 weeks, meaning I won't be able to log on at all. Therefor, and since Frost would likely want to get to Mallebranche as soon as possible after the given news, I would like to propose that Frost leaves the party at the end of the coming session to engage in his investigations and rejoins the party during the first game in September, if that is manageable for Cerej

Would there be a better way to handwave my absence, or would it be better to have someone else play Frost for the time?

So, for those that missed it:

It began raining, which was a rather rare event from what we had seen. The villagers woke us up and informed us that the creatures didn't attack during the rain, and so this would be the perfect time to move the village to that tower.

So about three hours in, I believe, it slows to a drizzle and all hell breaks loose. A slaughtervine, feedervine, and two thorn hurlers (something we hadn't seen before, does exactly what it says) attacked our particular group, with a bunch of others attacking the rest of the caravan (mostly abstracted).

So we manage to dispose of the vines, with a lot of failed rolls, Frost nearly dying, and Inmontani both nearly dying and getting a javelin crit kill. Shivex nearly died also, but Inmontani was going right after him so it didn't count. :P One of the few times Shivex actually hit with his mark AoO also happened to be bringing down the slaughtervine, which as you may recall is both elite and can shift a total of four squares during its attack, making it a pain in the ass to stop it from eating people.

Afterwards, Shivex and Ramum ran off to help another pack of guards, then returned and everyone rested. Ramum achieved his goal of not taking any (on-screen) damage during the fight, but Tarn had been critically injured and so valiantly perished off-screen.

After our five minute break, there's still sporadic fighting, with a number of the thorn hurlers keeping the caravan pinned. Alas, we've not had time to loot. :P

I'll hopefully be in the states next week (probably on the Friday) so chances are I'll be here next week, but the two weeks following are uncertain. I may still be able to play during the time; just letting you know that there's a reasonable chance of my absence. Will tell you more when I have more information :D

Also, that session I mentioned before, for anyone who's interested:

So remember how I wanted to get the new loot information up by Friday night?  That was wishful thinking.  And now I'm in the middle of my work week, posting right after getting off work and right before going to bed.  Maybe I'll get it posted tomorrow?

Anyway, since we're talking about future absences, September 9th I'll be doing some house sitting and won't be able to run the game.  Of course, as the second week of September there's a non-trivial chance we'll be meeting at some other time...

I got my class schedule for next semester. Looks like I can still run Thursdays if we bump the time slot up an hour, as my class gets out at 1:50 and it takes ~15 minutes to walk home. Otherwise I could really only play Friday/Sat/Sun, since Mon/Tues/Wend is full up.

I'd prefer not to move any later but it might be possible. I'm not sure if my schedule will be changing, and I won't know until October when I get my schedule.
