Yeah, according to the planet description, it caught on when manufacturers decided to broadcast mech tests.

Besides, would it be a futuristic world-half-empty without expensive and extravagant bloodsport?

It started as a prototype 'mech testing ground.  Turned into gladiator battles.

Darn it, I always miss good LP's until they're in progress.

That said, can I jump on the waiting list? I don't mind if you don't hire a pilot this update.

added to the waiting list. I probably won't get in an update this weekend due to homework and other commitments.

Also: everyone seems to be for going to Solaris 7. The way this is probably going to work out: three solaris 7 matches followed by going to Eaton, because quite frankly i want to get our hands on some more medium and heavy mechs before we take on the other missions.

I call the first Oh-Jesus-It's-Huge-And-I-Think-It's-Coming-This-Way mech that warhammer doesn't want.

Frankly I like catapults more; my Mad Cat fits a lot of weapons but for its speed, it just doesn't seem to have enough armor. The catapult is capable of either being really mobile, or just plain far away though.

Update Time!

Spoiler:  Spoils of war (click to show/hide)

People on the waiting list: you will find This Helpful if you want to customize your mech. Unclaimed mechs will be sold off.

Also, feel free to write in your own side-stories/journal entries/ generall flesh out you pilot. They don't get much more than a few sentence background blurb of no immediate consequence.
Edit; system crash. log finished

Someone should grab the Argus.  It's a heavy mech.  Granted it is probably the worst heavy mech in the game, but it is still a heavy.
